In this section we propose single items, which don't fall within the other sections of the site but even represent an "excellence" in their field.

They are unique pieces that somehow speak about Florence or are linked to it. Maybe found in a flea market stall, or in one of the most prestigious shops. Sometimes hand-made from old housewives, or created by artists of international renown.

This is too a way to make you breathe this air of Florence, to introduce you in those stores or in those workshops where you'd never have the opportunity to enter and show the true face of this magnificent city that shows its splendor "in the halo of the past" as in the "the simplicity of the present. "

      • Antonio Ciccone was born in San Giovanni Rotondo, in Apulia, Italy. In 1954 he moved to Florence, where he attended the Art Atelier of Pietro Annigoni, Nerina Simi and the Free School of Nude in the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1963 to 1980 he lived between Italy and USA. He held over than 150 personal exibitions and his works are in private museums and collections. Ciccone is considered one of the world's most famous portrait artists and is very appreciated all over the world for his  majestic portraits in charcoal and acrylic. Actually he lives and works in Florence.
